I am a self taught artist born in the vineyard region of upstate New York. Living in different areas of the country I have found beauty everywhere. For the thirty plus years that I have been painting, I have used oils, watercolors and, most recently, acrylics. The inspiration for my paintings comes from the beautiful scenery that is all around us. I enjoy bringing a comforting and familiar feeling to the viewer - to bring back a memory.
I thank my mother and grandfather for this inherited artistic talent and also thank family and friends for the encouragement they have given me and hope to share the world I see through my paintings with them and those I have not yet met.
For the last 4 yearsI have donated paintings for the " 4 x 4 For Scholarship" at the Brush Art Gallery in Lowell to raise money for the Alice Giavis Memorial Scholarship Fund. I was also fortunate to be chosen as one of the juried exhibitors at the 8th annual Melrose Arts Festival and most recently, the Whistler House Museum of Art in Lowell MA. One of my paintings was also bought and donated to the Lowell Community Health Center. Memberships include the Whistler House Museum of Art, Brush Art Gallery, Artist League of Lowell and the Nashua Area Artist Association.
